MiaRec Service Provide Edition is a multi-tenant call recording solution for service providers, using Metaswitch platform to offer hosted telephony services. In a hosted environment MiaRec recording server is located inside Service Provider's datacenter. Customers get access to own call recordings remotely via web-browser. Customer's data is isolated from each other.
SIPREC interface should be enabled on Metaswitch side. SIPREC is supported in Metaswitch starting from version 9.0.10.
Metaswitch system uses the established SIPREC link to send call details (caller/called phone number, service provider id etc) and audio RTP stream to MiaRec recording server.
No administrative burden. Customer doesn’t need to administer and manage call recording system. The software is managed by Service Provider.

A network switch with port mirroring support should be deployed between Metaswitch and customers' phones. The network switch will send copy of every VoIP packet to MiaRec server for recording purposes.

Due to security policies, some customers, like governmental, require that recorded calls are stored locally only. They cannot use a hosted call recording service. On-premise deployment is the only option for such customers.
