Sales Engineer position

We are looking for an experienced Sales Engineer to join our Sales department. You will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate.

Using technical creativity and business acumen, you will illustrate the value that MiaRec’s platform can provide. You must be able to engage and articulate product positioning to both business and technical users in competitive scenarios. You will also rapidly identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Attend sales calls and assist with sales efforts
  • Conduct technical interviews with customers to clearly define needs
  • Support our customers through the sales cycle along with our Sales teams and ensure their continued satisfaction with our platform
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements and providing technical product information
  • Provide sales tools and training for the sales force on conducting effective presentations and demonstrations on MiaRec products to prospects and potential customers
  • Review quotes, RFP’s, plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare a valid response or proposal
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education both in-person and using webinar tools
  • Work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required
  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects
  • Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
  • Propose technical and creative business solutions in support of sales and marketing activities
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the industry and competitors to act as a valuable resource to the customer and sales team

Communications and Presentations:

  • Must be a compelling, passionate and confident public speaker with communication skills of the highest caliber
  • Deliver product and technical presentations both onsite and remote
  • Support company’s marketing efforts at conferences and trade shows
  • Deliver comprehensive and customized product demonstrations focused on functional capabilities in business terms easily understood by the customer

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years work experience as a Sales Engineer
  • Extensive technical expertise with telecom, VOIP, and contact-center industry is a must
  • Understands sales process, strategies, and solutions selling
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop, build and maintain strong relationships with a sales team, partners, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to analyze complex problems or situations and develop effective solutions
  • Exceptional work ethic, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to create convincing proposals and documentation
  • Data Networking, SIP, Cloud Computing certifications
  • Substantial experience with networking protocols, standards and hardware
  • Technical knowledge of Broadsoft, Metaswitch, VOIP, Cisco, Avaya and advanced contact center products
  • Must be located in Bay Area [not a remote position]
  • Experience with call recording systems is a big plus
