SIP call recording solution

MiaRec is an ideal solution for recording call on SIP-based IP PBX systems and IP phones. MiaRec is able to record calls on any IP PBX, which complies with SIP RFC 3261.

Requirements:

Server for MiaRec (see Recommended server)
Network Switch with Port Mirroring support (see A list of Switches with port mirroring)

Unobtrusive packet sniffing technology is used for call recording. A network switch with port mirroring function should be installed between SIP-based IP PBX and IP phones as shown on below diagram.

Network scheme for recording calls on Asterisk

On the switch a port mirroring function should be configured in the following way:

IP PBX port should be configured as a source for port mirroring session.
MiaRec port should be configured as a destination for port mirroring session.
