How to record calls from VTech 8100

VTech 8100-2

The VTech IP 8100-2/8100-3 is an advanced broadband cordless telephone set, capable of supporting up to four handsets.

Vonage offers this model to own customers.

This guide contains information about how to use MiaRec for recording calls on VTech 8100.

Record calls on single VTech 8100 device

You need:

  • HUB (see What is a HUB?)
  • Router (see note 1)
  • Computer with Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista
  • MiaRec Solo license

Note 1: You may use your existing router, if you have one, or purchase new one (any standard router will be convenient). VTech 8100 has built-in router, but you cannot use it. You need to have a separate router.

Below network diagram shows how all devices should be connected:

VTech 8100 on this diagram is shown as the Wireless Voip Adapter.

A HUB should be placed between Voip Adapter and Router.

Computer with MiaRec should be connected to the same HUB.
