How to record calls from Vonage V-Portal

Vonage V-Portal

The Vonage V-Portal is a Telephone Adapter, which allows to connect up to 2 Vonage digital phone lines thorugh high-speed Internet connection.

It has LCD Display, which allows to view calls logs for incoming, outgoing and missed calls.

Also it provides a built-in single-port wired router for connecting computer or other network device to the shared Internet connection.

This guide contains information about how to use MiaRec for recording calls on Vonage V-Portal.

Record calls on single Vonage V-Portal device

You need:

  • HUB (see What is a HUB?)
  • Router (see note 1)
  • Computer with Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista
  • MiaRec Solo license

Note 1: You may use your existing router, if you have one, or purchase new one (any standard router will be convenient). Vonage V-Portal has built-in router, but you cannot use it. You need to have a separate router.

Below network diagram shows how all devices should be connected:

Network scheme: MiaRec, Voip Adater and HUB

Vonage V-Portal on this diagram is shown as the Voip Adapter.

A HUB should be placed between Voip Adapter and Router.

Computer with MiaRec should be connected to the same HUB.

Such network scheme will allow you to record calls on Vonage V-Portal.
