How to record calls from Voip Adapter

Voip Adapter

MiaRec can be used to record calls from any Voip Adapter, which works with one of following protocols: SIP, H.323, Cisco Skinny (SCCP) or MGCP.

Also, MiaRec can record calls in other proprietary protocols, if an audio is transmitted inside RTP packets. In latter case information about caller/callee phone numbers may be unavailable.

This guide contains information about how to use MiaRec for recording calls on Voip Adapter.

Record calls on single Voip Adapter device

You need:

  • HUB (see What is a HUB?)
  • Computer with Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista
  • MiaRec Solo license

Below network diagram shows how all devices should be connected:

Network scheme: MiaRec, Voip Adater and HUB

Voip Adapter on this diagram is shown as the Voip Adapter.

A HUB should be placed between Voip Adapter and Router.

Computer with MiaRec should be connected to the same HUB.
