How to record calls from D-Link VWR
The D-Link VWR-VR is a Broadband Telephone Adapter with built-in wireless router for Vonage Interent phone service.
It provides an 802.11b/g WiFi access point, 4 port Ethernet switch, and two standard phone jacks to connect a multi-line phone to Vonage's service.
This guide contains information about how to use MiaRec for recording calls on D-Link VWR.
Record calls on single D-Link VWR device
You need:
- HUB (see What is a HUB?)
- Router (see note 1)
- Computer with Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista
- MiaRec Solo license
Note 1: You may use your existing router, if you have one, or purchase new one (any standard router will be convenient). D-Link VWR has built-in router, but you cannot use it. You need to have a separate router.
Below network diagram shows how all devices should be connected:
D-Link VWR on this diagram is shown as the Voip Adapter.
A HUB should be placed between Voip Adapter and Router.
Computer with MiaRec should be connected to the same HUB.
Such network scheme will allow you to record calls on D-Link VWR.

Record calls on multiple D-Link VWR devices simultaneously
You need:
- Switch with Port Mirroring function (see What is Port Mirroring?)
- Server with Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista
- MiaRec Business license for appropriate number of lines
Below network diagram shows how all devices should be connected:
Such network scheme will allow you to record multiple calls simultaneously.
Please, note, Port Mirroring function should be configured appropriately on the switch.
