recording methods for MiaRec Business

I would like to know if the port monitoring is the only recording method for miarec business, if there is another method like client (like miarec solo do), this is because we are planning to deploy only one server for a central site and we have many remote sites.

Please, describe in details your network.

What IP PBX do you use (vendor and version)?

What IP phones or softphones do you use (vendor and version)?

How calls are routed from/to your remote sites? Does call always go to your central site and then go to central voice gateway? Or you have voice gateways in each of remote sites?

What type of calls you need to record: inbound, outbound or internal also (internal means a call between local ip phones)?

Having answers on these questions we can propose you a solution.

CallManager 6.1 is the pbx, ip communicator and 7960 and 7940 are the endpoints.
Recording is for inbound and outbound, there are many gateways, as many sites with agents (11), but recording server is planning to be placed on the central site.

The question is because on some sites i need to record by using a client (like miarec solo does but placing the recordings on a server and registering it to a common central database) and on the central site i can use port monitoring.
All recordings must be placed on a single repository (Recording server).

Such option is not available at the moment.

But we were planning to implement something similar: record on remote side and transfer recorded files to a central database.

It seems we need to set higher priority to this new functionality and develop it earlier.
