Bitrate and quality of MP3 record files

I'm testing your evaluation version of MiaRec Business on our system, but there is a small problem :
- can't change the bitrate and quality of MP3 record files : although I have edited Mp3Bitrate = 8 and Mp3Quality = 7, the recorded files's bitrate is still 128 kbps ????

Is this a limitation of evaluation version ?

If you look at MP3 file before the calls is completed, then Windows may show you default bitrate 128 kpbs. This happens because MiaRec writes MP3 header to the file after the call is completed.

Look at files, which belong to completed calls, and you should see the correct bitrate.

Also, sometimes Windows shows incorrect bitrate, so, you should open MP3 file with some audio player program and see the bitrate there. I remember this happened on Windows XP.

Do not forget to restart "MiaRec" service after you change MP3 settings inside MiaRec.ini file.

Each time I changes MP3 settings in miarec.ini file , I always stop and restart "miarec" service. Other changes (like, output folder, filter settings,..) are effective, but MP3 bitrate setting.

(for example: 1 file which duration is 1m55s takes 1.58MBytes ) ???

It is too much for MP3 file. Is it MP3 or WAV?

Send us this file by e-mail (support@duxoft.com) together with MiaRec.ini file for review.
