It doesn't work. What's wrong?

What symptoms do you have?

 

Symptom 1. It doesn't record calls at all. When you make a call, MiaRec shows nothing.

Check if you installed correctly a HUB or Switch with Port Mirroring

In order to record Voip call, you should install in your network HUB or Switch with Port Mirroring function.

This requirement is not valid if you are using voip softphone. For recording softphone, no additional devices are necessary.

Please, check corresponding How-To Configure Guide for your device.

 

Check if you have any firewall application on your computer, like ZoneAlarm etc.

Some firewall applications may block voip traffic, which is sent from voip phone.

They treat such traffic as unwanted.

Try to shutdown any firewall application on your computer and check, if MiaRec still doesn't record the call.

Send us details of your network

Describe in details:

  • all nework devices you have and how they are connected between each other.
  • operating system
  • name of voip service provider

Send e-mail to support@duxoft.com and we will investigate the problem and send you further instructions.

 

 

Symptom 2. MiaRec records call, but you can hear only one side of a call.
