MiaRec supports two formats for call storing:
- Uncompressed WAV (8 KHz, PCM 16bit, stereo)
- Uncompressed WAV (8 KHz, PCM 16bit, mono)
- Compressed MP3 (8 KHz, 32Kbps, stereo)
- Compressed MP3 (8 KHz, 16Kbps, mono)
WAV file format requires 1.92 MB for one minute of conversation in stereo and 0.96 MB in mono format.
MP3 file format requires 0.24 MB for one minute of conversation in stereo and 0.12 MB in mono format.
Thus one hour of conversation requires 7.2 MB for MP3 mono format.
500 GB disk will be able to store about 69 000 hours of conversation.
